FEDERAL Health Minister Nicola Roxon is moving out of her Nicholson St Footscray office into shiny new space at Edgewater Place.
Ms Roxon has leased three office suites at CGA Bryson's Edgewater Place building at Maribyrnong in the west.
Colliers International agent Tim Grant negotiated the deal with the Federal Government.
Ms Roxon has leased two suites on the ground floor and one on the second floor - a total of 285sq m on a three-year term paying $77,800 a year.
The deal leaves only one vacant office suite remaining at the Thomas Holmes St building and only one suite for sale.
"The fact that Ms Roxon had been forced to take suites on separate floors indicates a lack of alternative space in the area and vindicates CGA's decision to build a strata office building in the western suburbs," Mr Grant said.
"CGA Bryson was approached by Delfin Lend Lease to develop a commercial precinct at its Edgewater Estate residential development.
"We felt very confident that such a proposal could work and subsequent research quickly identified an undersupply of office space in the west," Mr Grant said.
The 18-suite $10 million project was built last year.
Strata-titled suites range in size from 70sq m to 150sq m.
